No matter which reading series you use, this program provides great support and practice.

A classroom aide or a parent can use the books for tutoring.

The small black and white ring books provide you with a tool that is consumable and economical. The books can be sent home for practice and to share with parents and siblings.

                                First Grade Reading

First grade books not included on this web site can be special ordered if you contact me.  This set of two separate books is designed to teach 200 of the basic words. Ten words at a time are taught and mastered. The colorful rebus words make it interesting. This set of books provides extra practice sounding out short vowel words, r controlled vowels, digraphs and vowel combinations. A word ring with 20 word lists is provided which tells you how to teach each word. A small stand up phonics chart is included.

This program was written specifically for "at risk" first graders and older children that had failed to read. It was developed for use in the Title 1 programs in the public schools. It is especially useful for children joining your class during the year.

The black and white ring book masters are very economical and useful for independent practice at home.
